Port Credit Storm – Novice Gold won the Burlington Shoe Tournament over the holidays!
The team had three wins over Burlington Eagles, LPC Wild and Markham Waxers and one tie versus Downsview Beavers during the round robin.
Port Credit beat Burlington in the Quarterfinals and then narrowly defeated a terrific Thornhill Rebels team in the semifinals. This set up a re-match against the Downsview Beavers who were also undefeated up until this point. Port Credit scored two goals early in the first period and then added two late goals to win 4-0. The Goalie Justin Y. was named the tournament MVP for making many outstanding saves.
