Meadowvale Minor Midget Red 103 showed a lot of hustle and heart at the Neil Barker/Jayden Elmore Tournament in London, Ontario this past weekend. They won their first game 4-1. In their second game they were behind 2-0 early in the first period but went on to finish with a 5-5 tie. They dominated their next two games with a 3-0 win in game three and a 5-0 win in the semi-finals. With very few penalties over the entire weekend, the boys were able to let their work ethic shine through and focus on passing and making plays. They met the team they had tied in game two for the final and ended up taking the gold with a 4-1 score. Thanks to the amazing coaching staff and supportive parents! These hard working boys made a lifetime memory and played the kind of hockey that would make their city and league very proud. Go Hawks!
