The Meadowvale Hawks Minor Midget Red ME102 team won their second tournament championship, this time in Montreal on the December 2nd weekend.
After a horrible 4-0 loss in their first game, they played three hard fought games to finish the round robin with a 2-1-1 record and enough for a rematch of West Mall team that beat them.
The final was a hard fought game with both teams trading scoring chances. West Mall took the first period lead 1-0 but Meadowvale tied the score in the middle of the second.
With four minutes left in the game and shorthanded Meadowvale scored to take the 2-1 lead and hold off the Lightning to take the Montreal Cup!!
