Congratulations to the Erindale Atom A team (players and coaches) on their win at the Vaughan Silver Stick Tournament this past weekend. The Spitfires went 1-0-2 in the Round Robin to place second in their pool and secure a spot in the Semi Finals. They beat out the Willowdale Blackhawks 3-2 to advance to the Finals after double overtime and a shootout. This win created a rematch against the Vaughan Rangers who they had tied 2-2 in the round robin. In the finals the Spitfires took the lead early and beat the Vaughan Rangers with a solid victory of 7-0. In all, the Spitfires had 22 goals for and only 5 goals against for the entire tournament.
Winning this tournament has qualified the team for the 2017 International Silver Stick Finals January 13-15, 2017 in Sarnia, ON.
