Last weekend LPC112 participated in the Midget Madness Tournament in Pickering, Ontario. The team faced very tough competition in the Round Robin but advanced to the elimination round. In the semi-finals, LPC defeated Welland Tigers 2-0 to advance to the finals against a very strong Erie Storm team. The finals saw an exciting see-saw battle, where once again the boys found a way to pull out a tournament win with a thrilling 4-3 OT victory courtesy a game winner from Michael Pontoni. It was the teams 4th consecutive tournament win for the team, an outstanding accomplishment.
Once again these boys represented their team, organization and the MHL with professionalism and class while playing a very high level of hockey throughout the tournament. The Coaches can’t say enough about this group and are very proud of them all.
